Truly beautiful

Cannot recommend enough. The bang for your buck is insane. Such soft leather 🥰🥰🥰

It's a Beauty!

It is clear that a lot of care and thought was put into the production of this volume. I have enjoyed the reading experience. Well done.

Not for perfectionists, but quite lovely!

There’s something one can criticise about almost every aspect of this book: the leather binding on mine has parallel pressure marks on it (which may or may not go away with time); the letterpress printing is sometimes uneven ie it’s darker at the top of page than at the bottom on a couple of pages; I don’t like the title font on the cover nor the Fitzgerald signature in gold; and the introduction is more than slightly moralistic: “There is nothing the rich, whether their wealth is inherited or made, desire more than serfs.”
However, as a reader and not as a collector, it ticks a lot of boxes: it sits very nicely in the hand, with its small size and soft leather; the letterpress printing, for all its slight imperfections, has a nice bite, and it’s immensely enjoyable to read! So, despite or perhaps even because some of its idiosyncrasies, I will cherish this book, it’s the perfect reading copy for me. And for this price I'd recommend it to everyone who doesn't mind some imperfections in a handmade book...

Excellent Buy

This book is one of the highest quality that I own, and one of the greatest value by far... I've paid twice the price for half the quality. It's evident from a glance that this is a premium product, and it only gets better when you look more closely. The leather feels so good to touch, and I love running my fingers over the letterpress-printed words. It's a gorgeous book, inside and out, and I cannot wait to see what Century Press does next. I know this will be a favorite in my home library for decades to come.

Perfect book

This book is the perfect size for carrying, reading or even just checking for on a shelf. The size fits easily into any small bag and is easy to hold in an armchair or while travelling. The paper and printing quality can be seen and felt and the binding is solid in a real leather cover. Entirely satisfying.
